You already know what art licensing is—and you probably know that Wild Apple has a massive catalog, a killer design team, and a serious eye on what’s trending. So we’re skipping the basics.
Instead, we’re answering the questions manufacturers ask us once they’re already in it. The real-world, behind-the-scenes stuff like: Can you help us build a trend-forward collection? What if we need color changes? How does exclusivity actually work?
These are the questions we get every week—the ones that move projects forward. Let’s get into it.
1. Can you help us curate a collection for a specific product line or trend?
In many cases, yes—especially for larger projects or long-term partnerships. We love collaborating on seasonal assortments, coordinated wall sets, and multi-category launches, but how involved we get depends on the scope of the project and the relationship.
For customers who prefer a self-serve approach, our website is built for that. You can:
- Search by theme, trend, or color
- Create and organize portfolios
- Browse our monthly lookbooks for curated inspiration
If you’re working on something bigger—a trend-forward launch, a new brand program, or a multi-category rollout—our art directors can help pull together options that align with your vision and your timeline.
We stay close to what’s selling, what’s next, and how to translate that into products consumers love. Whether you need hands-on creative support or powerful digital tools to do it yourself, we’re here to make the process efficient and inspiring.
2. What happens if we love an image but need it in a different color, size, or format?
That’s exactly where our in-house design team comes in. While we don’t offer full commissioned art, we regularly make strategic adjustments to existing images to make them work across a wide range of products depending on the scope of your project.
What we can do:
- Adjust colorways to match product and trend palettes
- Reformat artwork for square, vertical, horizontal, or wraparound applications
- Remove or simplify background elements
- Break up patterns into sets or motifs for textiles and surface design
This lets you get the exact look you need without having to start from scratch, saving time and streamlining production.
3. Do you offer exclusive licenses, and how does that work?
Yes, many of our customers license art on an exclusive basis by product category and region. That means you can secure a particular image for your category (e.g. tabletop or wall decor) without worrying about overlap with competitors.
Exclusivity terms are flexible and based on your product strategy and volume. If you want to test a piece non-exclusively first, or secure multiple coordinating images for a seasonal launch, we’ll work with you to find the right fit.
If you’re working on a larger brand or retailer collaboration, we also offer support for curated exclusives across multiple categories, so your launch feels unified and protected.
