Twice a year, designers, buyers, and brands from across the globe descend on High Point Market in North Carolina to see what’s next in interiors.

The Fall 2025 market in October didn’t disappoint. While some showrooms leaned subtle and serene, others embraced the bold and nostalgic, but across the board, the visual storytelling was strong.

After walking thousands of steps, we’ve narrowed it down to four standout trends that made a serious impression on where wall décor is going.

1. Soft Neutrals, Warmth First

Forget cool greys, this season’s neutrals are rich, cozy, and comforting. From creamy oat to sandy beige, from warm caramel to baked brown, this palette was everywhere. It’s not sterile but instead feels lived in.

In wall décor, we’re seeing

These neutrals are made to soothe and soften, especially when paired with natural wood and organic materials.

2. Dark & Moody Palettes

On the opposite end of the spectrum, a major visual shift was the emergence of deep, moody color stories. Think wine reds, midnight blues, dark olive, ochre, and burnt umber, colors that feel earthy, romantic, and grounded.

For wall decor we are seeing this translated into:

These pieces bring depth and drama to a space, and they’re perfect for clients ready to move beyond safe neutrals into something more soulful.

3. New Legacy: Vintage Revival, Reimagined

High Point leaned into nostalgia this year, but not in a dusty old fashioned way. We saw a fresh take on tradition including vintage portraiture, regency-era silhouettes, and ornate detailing all made modern. This look has been emerging for a while and amazing to see it as a focal point for some many brands and designers.

In wall art you are looking for:

  • Reworked classical portraits with playful or contemporary twists
  • Frames that stole the show. Think gilded, baroque and gorgeous
  • Heritage motifs and patterns updated in modern palettes

Whether styled as a gallery wall or a single statement piece, this trend taps into our love of storytelling and design with a sense of history.

4. Curves Ahead: Organic Shapes Everywhere

From sofas to headboard and sideboards, one shape ruled High Point: the curve. Arches, ovals, rounded corners, and biomorphic silhouettes made their mark in upholstery, casegoods,  and yes, wall décor.

How this trend is showing up on the wall:

Curves add fluidity and softness to a room, and when echoed across furniture and art, they create a visual rhythm that feels both modern and calming.

Final Thoughts

The throughline across all four trends? Emotionally driven design.

Whether it’s the warmth of neutrals, the intensity of moody hues, the charm of vintage revival, or the ease of organic curves, each trend brings a sense of feeling back into the home. Designers and influencers are loving homey interiors that feel designed but totally lived in. It’s cozy. It’s friendly. It’s everything.

As we move into 2026, expect wall décor to keep moving beyond just decorating a wall. Rather, wall art is going to anchor, elevate, and express the personality of the space, and the people who live in it.
