Krystal Adams was born and raised in rural Kentucky amid rolling hills and horses. She loves the Lord, beautiful things, and the charm of days gone by, and that nostalgia anchors her art.
Married since 1999 and encouraged by her husband, Krystal has built a creative life that lets her make art while being present for their three children. Travel has broadened her eye, revealing new cultures and communities, each with its own story to tell.
Working across crayons, pastels, colored pencils, watercolor, oil, gouache, and acrylic, Krystal creates most pieces in acrylic on canvas. Inspired by faith and the beauty of everyday life, she seeks to preserve what is fading, from old barns and country churches to harvest fields and Granny’s quilts, sharing those moments before they are gone.

Her studio sits in the breakfast nook for the best light, where she jokes she can cook supper, do laundry, and paint without leaving the room.
