Jocelyn Elizabeth is a dynamic mixed media artist, writer, and mother living just north of Boston, Massachusetts.
Fueled by a passion for creativity and a desire for freedom, she transforms her vibrant experiences into expressive abstract paintings that capture the essence of life. After years in the corporate world, where she navigated the intricacies of Human Resources for Fortune 100 companies, a personal awakening—sparked by her uncle’s brain injury and the arrival of her son—led her to embrace her true calling as a professional artist.
Through her expressive abstract paintings, Jocelyn seeks the freedom she craves, incorporating original photography and writing into her dynamic work. Inspired by meaningful people and the natural landscapes of coastal New England, her art reflects her experiences and influences from time spent living in California and France.
Jocelyn’s vibrant art has been exhibited across New England at venues such as the University of Rhode Island – Providence, the Peabody Institute Library, and the Boston Office of Arts and Culture’s Fay Chandler Emerging Artists Exhibit. Her public art projects include a commission from Wellesley, Cow Parade New England, and the “We Share One Sky” Murals Project with the Newburyport Art Association. Jocelyn has also enjoyed an enriching experience as an Artist-in-Residence at Chateau d’Orquevaux, France.
