Hunting for Trends at High Point

High Point is days away and we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s hot at market and what’s trending for 2018. Here are three High Point trends we’re on the hunt for.

Soft Pink

We’re not talking bright pink or Millennial Pink … but soft, gorgeous, only a hint of color pink. We’re seeing this color on lamps, bedding, furniture, dinnerware and more in every room of the home. Designers are especially loving this color when it’s paired with metallics like copper and gold and mixed in with soft shades of grey and charcoal.

Warm, Earthy Tones

We’ve been loving the neutral feel in homes and in art but color seems to be making a comeback. At High Point we’ll be scoping out warm shades of amber, tan and terracotta which were all hot looks at Milan Design Week. These colors bring a warmth and coziness to the home. Style influencers, bloggers and designers are pairing these colors with rich fabrics and textures for a look that really says “welcome home.”

Wonderful Wallpaper

Many of us grew up with wallpaper in our homes. In the last few years we have seen wallpaper take center stage in the home with designers and style influencers using stunning wallpaper collections in every room. We’ll be looking for bold patterns, floral and textured collections. The best way to work with art on wallpaper walls is to add large mats or frames that separate the art from the wallpaper. With that design trick, just about any style of art can be used over top of wallpaper to add even more finishing touches to an interior.
