“Flowers and art together create a really lovely visceral response in me, kind of like butterflies in my stomach and my mouth watering at the same time – it’s really nice,” says botanical photographer Elise Catterall. “I create large scale floral artworks in a home studio, shooting the flowers on a blank background so there is nothing to detract from their raw beauty.” She came to her floral subjects via her career in naturopathy while writing a book about flowering herbal medicines. Through her business Floragraphica, she specializes in capturing wedding bouquets straight after the wedding to create beautiful wall art the couple can enjoy forever.  She lives in Sydney, Australia with her husband, their two sons and dog.
