Mo Mullan

Mo Mullan was born in Chicago, Illinois, and has been drawing pictures ever since he can remember. He received a BFA in Graphic Design from Millikin University in 2006, and shortly after, left the Midwest to obtain his master's in illustration at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD).

During Mo's time at SCAD he was introduced to diverse methods of picture making. His inspiration and influences range from children’s and folk art to African quilts, henna, and cubism. The graphic aspects of art, and the universal language of iconography, has left a lasting impression on Mo, as he strives to create colorful, eye-catching art which can be appreciated by both children and adults.

Mo's creative process is a combination of traditional and digital exploration. Once he has scanned various painted patterns, collage papers, and other bits and pieces, he creates wonderful and interesting artwork on his computer.

As a SCAD student, Mo came to Wild Apple via internship. He now lives above a pottery barn in Bridgewater, Vermont, and enjoys the quiet, slow pace of the country. When he is not creating art, he enjoys running through the hills, and playing guitar.
